SUMMARY:Democracy and Inclusivity in Times of Climate Crisis
DESCRIPTION:The EU24 Engage for the Planet project\, funded under the CERV-
  Citizens\, Equality\, Rights and Values Program (CERV)\, is dedicated to 
 bridging the democratic participation gap among young citizens\, those fro
 m diverse backgrounds\, and mobile union citizens\, ensuring gender balanc
 e throughout. This initiative highlights the critical importance of these 
 voices in shaping our collective future. Despite recent increases in voter
  turnout for EU elections\, significant underrepresentation persists among
  these groups in active EU politics and democratic processes. Recognizing 
 climate change as one of the most pressing threats to humanity\, the proje
 ct underscores the need for transnational and multinational collaboration 
 to address this global challenge. Over the past 20 months\, EU24 Engage fo
 r the Planet has organized gender-balanced blended exchange events across 
 five European countries—Poland\, Germany\, Netherlands\, France\, and Sw
 eden—focusing on climate justice\, climate change\, and sustainability. 
 The project also developed tools aimed at making democracy more inclusive.
